This beginner-friendly workshop introduces basic design principles for successful block print design. We will discuss carving techniques to achieve a variety of textures. Participants will have the opportunity to print several copies of their original carved linocut block using a hand-printing method and a lever-style printing press. All tools and materials supplied for use during the workshop.
Participants will be emailed a week prior to class with a choice of designs — all created by the instructor to ensure they demonstrate a variety of techniques while remaining simple enough to complete during our evening workshop.
Workshops are held in-person in Kemptville, Ontario, Canada.
